The Kaduna State Governor-elect, Uba Sani, has felicitated with Muslims on the celebration of this year’s Eid el-Fitr.
Sani who sent his goodwill message to Kaduna people said, following the spiritual and physical renewal of Ramadan fasting, Nigerians are adequately equipped to face new challenges and avail themselves of fresh opportunities for personal and collective advancement.
He prayed for God’s guidance and courage for Nigeria to overcome its challenges and thanked Him for protecting and guiding them to the end of the Ramadan fasting period.
He said leaders must prioritise the welfare and security of the citizens and effectively implement policies and programmes that would raise the quality of life of the people and make them secure in their communities
‘As we look to the future with hope, we pray for Allah’s guidance. May He give us the courage to face whatever may come our way. May He bring our people together to work for common good. May forgiveness, love, patience, goodness, kindness, compassion and mercy be our watchwords.’
The governor-elect warned that if leaders fail to rise to their responsibilities, democracy would cease to make sense to the people, adding that it is by making people happy and secure that Nigeria can sustain and deepen democracy.
He assured the people of Kaduna State that he was assembling a formidable team of technocrats and politicians that would hit the ground running after his inauguration on May 29, 2023.
