Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has condoled former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on the death of his wife, Ifeoma Ada Kalu.
Ifeoma, a former first lady of Abia, died in the United States of America, as was announced by the Senate Chief Whip on his social media handle.
In his message, Governor Ikpeazu described the late Ifeoma as kind and humane in conduct when alive, and prayed God to console her husband, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and family.
In his own tribute, the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Chinedum Orji described the death of the former Abia First Lady as a rude shock to him and a painful loss to the entire State.
Ifeoma, who was famous in Abia during the first term of her husband as Governor, was popular because of her love for the widows, orphans, and educational support for the girl-child.
She was also known for her regular visit to Federal Medical Centre in Umuahia to offset hospital bills of nursing mothers.
