The Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has directed the demolition of all the illegally erected structures in schools, mosques, playgrounds, graveyards, markets and hospitals in the State.

Yusuf said it was to ensure strict adherence to urban planning, beautification and safety of the people.
